Whale Watching - Byron Bay
Byron Bay is one of the most popular whale watching destinations due to its ideal location. On their annual migration from the feeding grounds in the Antarctica to the breeding grounds of the Great Barrier Reef and back again, over 10,000 whales pass Australia's east coast. As Cape Byron is mainland Australia's Easternmost point, the magnificent humpbacks come in close proximity to the land.
This means by skipping the long boat ride to get to waters that the whales migrate in, you get to spend more time with the fascinating creatures of the deep. Board a purpose-built vessel, spend two hours with the gorgeous whales, and enjoy the experience of a lifetime! The boat departs from the Brunswick Head's Boat Harbour, which is a 15 minute drive from the heart of Byron Bay; free shuttles are available.
Please remember that whale watching is SEASONAL. You can still browse the fabulous whale watching options available and get ready for the upcoming year. Whale Watching from Byron Bay will commence again from July until November, as in most regions. Contact us to confirm details.
